Founder & Principal Consultant

Tony Chuter

Tony has delivered requirements, V&V, systems integration and assurance for over thirty years — UK defence and aerospace first, rail since 2017, across the UK, Canada and Saudi Arabia.

He founded Antifragile Systems Limited to offer that discipline directly, without a large consultancy standing between the client and the person doing the work.

  • BSc (Hons) Physics with Electronics & Instrumentation — University of Leeds
  • Relational Database Systems — Open University
  • 30+ years in systems engineering: defence & aerospace (1990–2017), rail (2017–present)
  • Background UK security clearance for defence programme work; available for re-clearance as required

Ottawa Light Rail Transit System — recruited and led the UK-based V&V team through to Revenue Service Availability.

Systems Engineer — UK defence, aerospace & security

Requirements management and V&V across missile, avionics, tactical communications and cryptography programmes, including BAE Systems, MBDA Systems, General Dynamics UK and Ultra Electronics.

Why "antifragile"

Most systems are built to survive stress. The aim here is to get stronger under it — a hard question, a late change, a failed test met with evidence, not excuses.

It's also what a keystone does: the harder an arch is pushed, the tighter it locks.
